14 months

Connor is 14 months old today so I decided that I wanted to put 14 things that I love about him

1. I love how he growls like a lion and then makes fishy sounds. Always has to be in that order and his fishy is the cutest thing I have ever seen!
2. He always would point to the fan so I said fan and then moved my finger around in a circle. Now every time he sees a light he points to it and spins his finger around.
3. When I am sitting on the couch and he is playing he will come to me climb up on the couch and give me loves. He will give me lots of hugs and kisses I love it!
4. How he gets so excited when we turn the Wii on and squeals
5. His laugh
6. How he points at everything and says this
7. The way he just jibber jabbers it is so cute
8. How he loves Wash, the dog. He loves to give him loves, and to give him food lol
9. How he dances
10. How he loves to play in the bath
11. How he walks
12. How he loves my sister Jaqlyn and gets so excited to see her
13. His face when I get home from work
14. How he interacts with me now and I know he understand me. We are like best buds.

Connor is at such a destructive, messy age but such a fun age at the same time. He tears the house apart every day. He is Mr. Personality and very entertaining. I am excited for all the milestones that are to come this year and having a blast with him on the ride.

Have I mentioned that Connor is a climber lol. He climbed on to the computer chair to play on the computer. Wants to be like mom and dad :)

I was upstairs getting ready and when I was coming down after I was done I noticed it was really quiet. I came down to see my sweet little guy had fallen asleep under Billy's arm looking at his favorite book. He loves little people flap books and my mom got him this one for Easter and he loves it so much. He always brings it to me to read to him. I love how he is holding the flap up in the picture while he is asleep.

I started a random baby show on the on demand channel and Connor actually layed down to watch it. If you know Connor it is a miracle to have him just lay like this and not be moving.

Here is Connor going down the slide all by himself! Such a big boy! He went down before I got the camera with out falling and of course with it he fell. He is a tough guy though and just gets back up and doesn't even cry.

Happy Easter Part 2

Happy Easter again! This is what we got Connor. He loves books so we got him a few. We also got him a little people Easter set, and a couple Tonka playskool cars.

Today I took Connor to the Easter egg hunt at the Benjamin park with my family. After we went to the mall where Connor was able to see the Easter bunny! He really liked her and wasn't scared at all! We went and ate at California Pizza Kitchen after. I had never been there and it was so good! I loved the pizza! Billy doesn't like it so I had never been, but I thought it was delicious! Yesterday Billy's mom had a barbeque and Easter egg hunt at her house. It was so funny how Connor would just walk around with his chest puffed out and pick up eggs. I had his bag and once he had 2 eggs in his hand he would put one in the bag. He enjoyed being on the trampoline outside with all the kids . He loves kids so much and just wanted to be in the middle of all of them. He loves being outside so much as soon as someone would open the door he would bolt for it. Well I hope everyone has a fabulous Easter! Easter candy is by far my favorite! Here are pictures of Connor and my sisters with the Easter bunny. Our battery was dead in our camera at Billy's mom's yesterday.,so she took pictures for me and will send them to us. I will be posting them later :)

idol update

Ok I know that I just blogged about idol a few days ago but I just wanted to say that I am soo so glad that Amanda went home! Can't stand her! I think Kristy Lee Cook really needs to go next though she has not impressed me at all. Also I definetely do not think that Carly should have been in the bottom! It should have been Chikeze or Ramielle over her! She is amazing! Ok here are my rankings of the top ten overall.

change of date

Billy's surgery has been changed to April 10th. The reason being is the doctor wanted a neuro surgeon with him. Their is one on his spine in the nerve and he wants to make sure he gets it all and gets it right. I am glad the doctor is being so thorough even though it stinks that we have to wait even longer. It would be worst if they didn't get it all and they had to do another one.

American Idol

If you didn't already know I am a huge fan of American Idol! I have watched every season and am loving Season 7 so far! Last night I think a few of them did really good and the judges did not.
Michael John's is one of them. Ok first of all LOVE the aussie accent and this guy is hot! Last night watching his performance I thought he was doing so well, and was shocked to hear the judges responses! I love this guy and hope he goes far in the competition.

Ok this girl can sing. I really like Carly, and have liked every single one of her performances.I think she did great last night.

At first I wasn't sure about this guy but man he can rock! I really like him and could see him being the next Daughtry.

I was not a fan of Chikezie at all until last week. His performance amazed me and he really brought it. Last night was definetely not as good, but he did do better than the judges gave him credit for. I agree that he shouldn't have did the harmonica, but I did like how he picked up the pace and changed it around and started out slow. He is not one of my favorites, but I think he did ok last night.

Ok now to who I do not like and should go home!

First is Amanda. I am just not a fan of her, and haven't been since the beginning. I don't like her go home haha :)

This girl should not have even made the top 12, and she definetely should have went home last week. Her performance last week was horrifying! Not that I was a huge fan of David Hernandez, but she still should have went home and should go home tonight.

Now to my 2 favorites
Brooke White she is soo sweet and cute and I just love her! She did not do that good last night, but Let it Be, and Love is a Battlefield were amazing. I love how she can make herself look so vulnerable and just really connect with the song. She didn't do good last night but I still love her, and know that there will be more to see of her.

David Archuleta is my favorite! I have loved him since day one. These 2 are not just my favorites because they are Mormon they would be anyway. I really think they are so talented. When David sang Imagine I had goosebumps. I really love how I can tell that they are Mormon though they both are always smiling that you can't help smiling when seeing them. They both have a natural glow and light in their eyes. David is such a doll and amazingly talented especially for his age.

update

Billy had his consult with his doctor and a surgeon today and he is going to have surgery on Friday March 28th. He has it in 4 different places and they are going to remove all of them. It will be a 4 to 6 hour long surgery and he should be in the hospital for 5 days. It will be 6 weeks for him to heal he will probably take 3 weeks off maybe 4 and then it still is no heavy lifting and light work duty for a couple weeks after that. Sad because he won't be able to pick up Connor and Connor is still a baby and wants to be picked up. After they get it all removed they will send it in. They are thinking right now that it is not the bad kind and not the kind that will kill you. Hopefully they can just do the surgery and it will be gone and Billy won't have to do any chemo or radiation. We are hoping for the best but this surgery is not going to be fun. I am very grateful to have family and friends close by that I know will help watch Connor, and help us with whatever we need. I really think everything will work out for the best. more climbing and some growling

Ever since Connor could crawl when I open the dishwasher he comes as fast as he can. Even if he is playing so intently and not even noticing me cleaning in the kitchen as soon as I open the dishwasher he hurrys to it. Usually I only do dishes when he is in his high chair or asleep because of this reason. Sorry about the end of this video. The last 5 seconds it was me trying to stop it and I couldn't figure it out. That is why his head is cut off and it's all weird lol.

My little ball of energy here has started climbing into everything. Luckily he hasn't tried to climb out of his crib yet.

I was on my way home from work and Billy called and said are you almost home? You have to hurry so you can see Connor. I came home to see Connor sitting on the table, and Billy standing behind him. He said that he had climbed up on to there the little stinker!

Brick Oven

Today not only was the day we found out Billy has cancer but also my sister Kailey's 14th birthday! We will probably always remember her 14th birthday being this day...big day. I love my sister so much and she is just getting so grown up! We went to Brick Oven and it was a lot of fun! It was a nice way to take my mind off of what is to come.

on a positive note

ok so my last post was really depressing, and I really want to try and stay positive. We need to just keeping living our life on a day to day basis. Ok so here is the cutest video of Connor giving our dog Wash "loves". They sure do love each other!

bad news

so today we found out that Billy has cancer. the form he has is called sarcoma here is what wikipedia says A soft tissue sarcoma is is a malignant (cancerous) tumor that develops in mesenchymal tissue. Mesenchymal tissues encompass all the muscle, connective tissues, and bones of the body.

Soft tissue sarcomas can invade surrounding tissue and can metastasize (spread) to other organs of the body, forming secondary tumors. The cells of secondary tumors are similar to those of the primary (original) cancer. Secondary tumors are referred to as "metastatic soft tissue sarcoma" because they are part of the same cancer and are not a new disease.

He will get a cat scan on Monday to see if it has spread, and then they will do a consult on Friday. At the consult they will decide what they are going to do, and then we will go from there. I feel like all of this is a movie I am watching and that it's not really my life. I guess reality hasn't sunk in yet. It is just so surreal right now. It's so weird because I know people that have had cancer but I never thought it would happen to Billy or I, or could even imagine it, and I still can't imagine it and it's happening. I just hope I can be strong for him, and support him. I am so grateful to have such great friends and family. We haven't even started the hard part yet, and we are getting so much support, so many offers, and just genuine concern. We have got a rocky road a head of us but I know that we will make it, and get through it.
