An Apology

Hey its Billy. I just wanted to apologize for the state of my hair in the Christmas pictures. From now on I will make sure that my hair is done in every future picture. Again I apologize and hope that horrid hair does not stop anyone from visiting our blog.

Connor's 1st Christmas was a lot of fun! He didn't really get the opening of the presents but he squealed when he saw what was inside. I sure do love this kid!

Christmas Eve

Here are my 3 cute sisters in their new pj's and slippers!

My sister Taylor climbed through the window and Billy thought that he could fit too. All the sudden I hear him yelling Am! Am! Help! And I run in to see his attempt to fit through. Sorry hun you just didn't fit.

Connor always wants to play with my mom's lap top and pound the keys so she got him an R2D2 lap top.

I just realized that we have no photos of what my family gave Billy & I. They gave Billy Las Vegas Season 4, and some collector coins. They gave me some Elizabeth Arden make up (my mom gets it for me every year and I love it!), some victoria secrets lotion, and my mom bought me a coat a few weeks ago that I love! Oh and they also gave Connor the cutest car's quilt! It will be for him when he is older and has a bed. We saw it at an auction in the summer and we loved it. My mom knew the lady and had her make one for us! I will have to get a picture of it on here cuz it is so cute! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Love you all!

fun at Grandma's

Connor gets tended by my mom or my mother in law on Monday's and some Fridays. They always tell me how good he was, and how much fun he had. Here are some pictures my mother in law sent us of him there on Monday. They show how much fun he really does have!

Connor loves coffee tables! At both my mom's and Billy's he loves their tables and they both try to have decorative things on them that Connor of course thinks he is supposed to play with :)

This is Connor's scrunched up face smile. He scrunches up his nose squints his eyes and flashes a huge cheeser. It is so cute and he does it all the time. He has been doing it for a few weeks now and it still makes me smile every time he does it.

Connor loves remotes! I bought him an elmo one and he likes it but of course still likes the real thing better!

I think this is one of my all time fav pictures of him.

Red cast. Comes off next Wednesday horray! As you all can see he is still a happy boy with it and does just fine :)

Sorry!

Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged! I haven't because I don't have any pictures but I decided to give an update anyways! Connor turned 10 months on the 29th. He is in the double digits now! It is so crazy how fast this year has gone by! I just want him to stay a baby forever. Billy taught him to say "moo" and "boogity boogity". He is just a happy boy that loves to laugh and make others laugh. He is so much fun and I just love him! He is doing really well with his hard cast it's like he doesn't even notice it. I am a little nervous for when they use the saw and burn it off but at this age at least he won't remember it. He has learned to dance and it is the cutest thing ever!

Christmas Quiz!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I use gift bags more because I am a horrible wrapper. I wrap all Billy's presents though cuz they go under the tree!
   
2. Real or Artificial tree? Fake tree all the way!! So much easier to deal with :)
3. When do you put up the tree? We usually try the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
   
4. When do you take the tree down? Usually after New Years
5. Do you like egg nog? Oh, yes!! I am sad I haven't had any this year yet!
   
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Probably my first Cabbage Patch doll. It always was my favorite even after I got more!
   
7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes! We have quite a few!
   
8. Hardest person to buy for? My father in law.
   
9. Easiest person to buy for? well Connor right now because he doesn't even care what I get him I can get him whatever I want!
   
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I like getting mail, but I am bad at giving it!
    
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? clothes from my grandma between like 10 and 16 that were like sweaters with cats on them and just definetely not for me!
    
12. Favorite Christmas movie? A Christmas Story for the laughs Miracle on 34th Street for the heart warmingness :)
    
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I am bad you guys I haven't even started yet! I am going to be starting this Saturday.
    
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas gift? No way
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? pizza at our family christmas eve party at my grandma's!
    
16. Clear or colored lights on the tree? Definitely colored!
17. Favorite Christmas song? O so many! I like Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas love Faith Hill's Where are you Christmas. Celine Dion O Holy Night. Still love I'm gettin nuttin for Christmas and All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth. All the Alvin and The Chipmunks Christmas songs!
    
18. Travel or stay home at Christmas? Well we don't stay home but the farthest we travel is South Jordan, and Benjamin so I wouldn't really consider that traveling!
    
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yes, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph!! :)
20. Angel or Star on the top of the tree? Star
    
21. Open presents Christmas Eve or Morning? As a kid it was always pajamas on Christmas Eve. Now I usually buy a new sweater for the Christmas Eve party and cuz I need one so does that count?
    
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Stupid people at Target! I know that they are in a hurry and it's busy but why do u have to be so messy and it's supposed to be the happiest time of the year so why are they so much ruder at this time of year!
    
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? umm well this year I bought a thing of red ornaments so I guess red.
    
24. Favorite Christmas dinner?again with the pizza at my grandma's on Christmas Eve.
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? a frame for my temple picture that I got for my birthday! A coat, some shoes, a game for the wii :)

thanksgiving

This is my sister Jaqlyn that is 5 . She loves Connor so much! I am excited for them to grow up together. Even though she is his aunt they are only 4 years apart!

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We went to my Grandma Davis's in Salem for Thanksgiving. I have a great family and am so grateful for them! We have been through a lot together and are very strong and close. I am also grateful for my husband. He is so good with Connor and is a great dad. I am so grateful for Connor. He has brought so much joy to my life and I don't know what I would do with out him! He just gets more fun every month and I don't know what I would do with out him!
After we ate at my grandma's we went bowling, and then went to the movie Enchanted. Enchanted was so cute! I seriously loved it and so did Billy. The next day he bought the album on i tunes lol. Most men would be embarassed to admit that but not Billy. I think it's great that he is not ashamed of things like that.

So here is the video of Connor crawling around in his cast. He is doing a pretty good job at getting around sometimes he has to figure out how to flip his leg around to move!

Today Connor got his first cast! So those of you that don't know Connor's left leg really started bugging him last Monday. Whenever you would change his diaper or clothes and would bend or pull that leg he would just scream in pain. It was from the knee down that it was hurting. On Saturday I took him to the doctor and we had to do x-rays and with the x-rays the doctor wasn't sure if it was a fracture, bruised really bad to the bone, or something in the blood. So then I had to go to the lab and get his blood drawn and that was not fun! Worst than shots! Anyways so they told me to make a follow up appointment for Tuesday so I went back today and we had to get x-rays again and it turns out that he cracked his fibula! For those of you who don't know what the fibula is here is the wikipedia definition:

The fibula or calf bone is a bone located on the lateral side of the tibia, with which it is connected above and below. It is the smaller of the two bones, and, in proportion to its length, the most slender of all the long bones. Its upper extremity is small, placed toward the back of the head of the tibia, below the level of the knee-joint, and excluded from the formation of this joint. Its lower extremity inclines a little forward, so as to be on a plane anterior to that of the upper end; it projects below the tibia, and forms the lateral part of the ankle-joint.

They could tell that from the last x-rays that it has been healing but he has to wear this cast till Monday and then get a waterproof one. The sad thing is is that we don't even know how it happened. This kid plays so rough and hard that he is always climbing and falling we just can't think of a time where he got really hurt we can just remember changing him and bending his left leg and him screaming in pain. As soon as he got the cast on Billy had to stick a Spiderman sticker on it of course. It is really funny to see him crawl around dragging it.

Connor was so tired that he fell asleep in the swing at my in-laws. So precious!

Connor was watching Billy and I play the arcade at Billy's parents and he really wanted to play. He really enjoyed playing he pounded on the buttons and squealed.
