Connor cleaning up

I was watching t.v. and was very shocked to see Connor had picked up more than half of his potato head toys and put them in the sterilite tote. i was so shocked and proud of him i started telling him good job and cheering him on so he kept picking them up and then would clap after. ok so you guys may be thinking big deal he picked up his toys. i have been trying to get him to help me for a LONG time and whenever I pick them up with him around he just throws them all out so I always have to wait till he goes to bed. For some reason it is much more fun to throw them out then to put them in. Today was a big milestone with him picking up his toys and I hope it is one that continues :)

Connor is going to be 18 months old tomorrow. I can't believe already half of a year has gone by since he turned one. It is so crazy how much he learns every day and how much he is changed in a year in a half. He is so much fun and we just love him to death!

Connor saying his colors

Yesterday I was reading Connor his little colors board book and after I said each color he said it. He doesn't really know his colors but he does say purple before I do! He won't say brown though because the picture is of a bear so he just has to growl whenever he sees a bear.

Ranch

This weekend was the Annual Doty Reunion at the Ranch. Every year the weekend around my dad's birthday his family all come and stay at the ranch in their trailers and tents. His sister and her family live in Wyoming and this is the only time every year that we see them. Billy was supposed to work Friday night and when I got home he said that he had given someone his shift and wanted to go camping at the ranch. I was planning on just going up all day Saturday. Well staying in a tent with Connor would not be a good idea so Billy slept up there in his tent a lone wolf and Connor and I slept at my parent's house. Connor was really good at the ranch Friday night and all day Saturday. I figure he was content cuz his favorite things to play with are up there: rocks, sand/dirt, and water. He really loved playing in the sand. I was out swimming and looked at him on the beach just sitting in a corner by himself playing with all the sand toys.

He really liked the teeter totter too. It was his first time going on one and Jaqlyn is only 10 lbs more than him so it worked pretty well. I would say farmer farmer let me down and he really enjoyed it.

I think this is the cutest picture of Connor. One of my fav's. He loved swinging as well.

Connor was very cautious with going in to the water. On my birthday we couldn't even get him to get in at all. He had been sitting close to it playing in the mud and then this is where Billy got him to finally walk out in to it. After this he was fine playing in it and walking in it and did for about an hour.

Chicken War!

On The 24th I went down to Spanish Fork for the parade. It was a lot of fun and I got to see a few of my good friends that I hadn't seen forever!

Connor's new favorite game

At Clayton's birthday party we let Connor play with his potato heads and discovered he can now put the pieces in the holes. We got out the potato heads at our house and Connor really likes playing with them!

I recently posted about Connor throwing all of his toys outside. Now he loves to throw everything in mine and billy's room down the stairs. Hence the title Connor's new favorite game.

Sorry about the long pause he is taking his time to get something to throw down the stairs. Connor is getting more entertaining every day. He loves to make others laugh and to laugh at himself. My favorite thing he does lately is how he tries to say I love you. I will say love you and he says I and then jibber jabber that somewhat sounds like it. My mother in law gave a good reference that he sounds just like Scooby Doo when he says it. After she said that he said it and it seriously sounds just like Scooby doo saying I love you. He calls every letter E any letter he sees he says E! It's so cute.

Cheesecake Factory

Last night we celebrated my good friend Karri's birthday by going to The Cheesecake Factory. I had not went to the new one here but I have been in Florida and California and LOVE it! I got snicker's cheesecake and ate the whole thing lol. I ate it fast and thought I was fine, but then felt a little sick after.

Birthdays & Farm

Sorry it has taken my so long to update! I have been busy having a birthday party, going to a birthday party, working, and babysitting my little sister's Jaqlyn & Taylor while my mom and Kailey are in New York (lucky). My internet wasn't working for a couple days too and I seriously was going crazy! Well Tuesday was my birthday and we went up to my ranch to celebrate. It was a lot of fun!

Connor playing in the water. Since he was playing in it here I took off his clothes and put a swim diaper on and as soon as I did he wanted nothing to do with it. He just liked playing in the sand, and throwing it and everyone and everything.

I tried to get Connor to go in the boat with Billy and that didn't last very long he hated it. I think he hated the life jacket more though it was too big and choking him.

Mommy and Connor swinging

Hudson caught a lizard! Hudson is our good friends's Ryan and Liz Holdaway's little boy.

Last Saturday we finally took Connor to the petting zoo and Thanksgiving Point. I had been wanting to take him for a long time because he loves farm animals and making all the sounds. He had fun but not as much as I thought haha.

This cow tried to eat Connor. No seriously it bit on to his shorts and wouldn't let go! I wish we would have gotten a picture it was so funny.

Connor's 1st ride on a pony. He really liked the pony ride.

Jenn and Katie. Our friend Jenn Sekona and her husband Sipa and 2 kids Mason & Kennedy went with us.

That night we went to a surprise birthday party for our good friend Clayton. He had never had one and it was fun to see his reaction. His birthday is the day before mine!

The Birthday Boy Clayton and Connor

Billy made these cupcakes they were yummy! He used starbursts on the frosting and made them look like presents! It was very creative!

Karri made this cake for Clayton. It was yummy too.

Such a funny kid

Connor ALWAYS wants to go outside. It used to be just the front door he would go to and whine when he wanted too but now it is the back as well. I opened the back door for him and was going to go outside with him he looked out there and then went back to his toys and decided he wanted to throw all of his toys outside. He kept going back and forth throwing them outside and it was so funny I had to take pictures and blog about it!

He pulled the blanket outside very 1st.

This is him on the go to get some toys.

Getting some toys

What it looked like outside

Yes that is the phone book he is throwing outside

It was hard to get a lot of good pictures because he was on the go plus there was a glare from the sun. This kid cracks me up though!

Stadium of Fire

Friday night I went to the Stadium of Fire with my fam. My mom got me a ticket and I didn't have to pay and I don't know if I would have went if I would have had to pay cuz I am not a huge fan of Miley. I am not a hater but not a lover either. Billy wanted to go and wished my mom would have had a ticket for him but I really think he would have hated Miley. Anyways it wasn't that bad and it didn't seem like she sang for even half of it. She sang like 4 songs in a row from her album that comes out on the 15th that nobody knew but then she sang her hit "See you again" and some other fun ones that people knew at the end and it was fun. The firworks seemed a lot longer this year and were amazing! I love fireworks! I took like 50 pictures of them but decided to just put a few and not bore you guys lol. I really liked the part where it showed the husbands in the military talk to there wives. They did a surprise for them in the audience where they had a call where they could see them in Afghanistan and it was really cool I even got a little teary eyed.

LOTS of dancers.

I know that you can't tell but this is Miley.

Update on Connor. He wore his wrap till Saturday and then Billy took it off and he was standing by himself and crawling more and walking a little bit holding his hand but would cry. Today Billy took him to the doctor and they did an x-ray again and watched him walk and said he just has a really bad sprain. He said to keep the wrap off and give him ibuprofen and he should be better by the end of the week. I gave him some ibuprofen tonight and he started walking by himself with out me holding his hand or trying to make him and was walking around a lot more. Poor kid. I know it seems like I just posted that he sprained his leg a few posts ago but that only lasted like a day this one is way worst. That time he wouldn't walk then I gave him motrin and he ran all over the place and it was only for a couple days that I had to give him motrin. Last time he also would walk normal like nothing was wrong and this time he limps and is a lot slower. He is getting very determined to walk though even though it is so hard for him. He has been really happy and really good and I just have so much fun playing with him and love him more and more every day! Hopefully he will be back to normal by the end of the week!
